Pet Adoption

APPOINTMENT

Lost and Stray Animals

If you are missing your pet or know of someone who has lost their furry companion, please call Countryside Veterinarian at 952-442-4200.

If you’ve found
a stray animal, please contact your local sheriff’s department. All stray animals must be brought to us from the sheriff.

Countryside Veterinarian is a holding facility for lost or stray pets from the following communities: Glencoe, Hamburg, Waconia, Mayer, Cologne, Victoria, Norwood Waconia, Watertown Township and Carver. While it is not our responsibility to post notices regarding animals brought to our facility, it is our hope to re-unite all stray animals with their families. Unclaimed dogs and cats are cared for by Countryside and made available for adoption when possible.

If you have lost or found a pet please visit The Humane Society’s Lost and Found Page to post your information.

Adopt a Pet

Countryside offers temporary homes to cats and dogs until they find a forever home with a loving family. If you are interested in giving any of these dogs or cats a forever home, please talk to the receptionists to set up a time for you to meet them.

Please Note: Sometimes we are slightly delayed in getting new adoptable pets up on our website. Please feel free to call and find out if anyone is looking for a home that is not on the website!

If a dog or cat has not been claimed after 5 days, Countryside assumes care and responsibility for that pet. We take un-owned pets into our own hands and provide them the best care possible. Prior to adoption, each pet receives high-quality medical care and all our recommended vaccinations and treatment.

Any pets that arrive sick or underweight are nursed back to health and given a chance to have a new life. Dogs and cats are tested for any infectious diseases and are treated for common internal and external parasites like intestinal worms, fleas, and ticks. All pets are spayed or neutered before they are made available for adoption and they are all microchipped!
