Meet Our Team

Dr. Anna Ruelle

Dr Anna is a passionate and dedicated veterinarian. She genuinely cares about her patients, and treats them as she would her own pets. Since she purchased the practice from the late Dr Molnau in 2011, she has strived to continue to provide a warm, welcoming “countryside” feel while providing the high quality, best medicine that Waconia, Norwood Young America and the surrounding areas are seeking. She loves to cuddle and receive kisses from all her patients, and she strives to help our furry guests feel comfortable at their vet visit!

Dr. Julie Gauthier

Dr. Julie Gauthier

I grew up in Fairbanks, Alaska, and obtained my bachelors in biology at the University of Alaska. I then moved to the Twin Cities and went to the U of M’s College of Veterinary Medicine, where I earned my DVM degree in 1992. I met my husband in 1995, and we welcomed our son in 2002. We have one dog, a Husky named Willow, and an orange tabby cat that came to us at age 6 with the name “Buster.”

I joined the wonderful team at Countryside at the end of 2018. The most enjoyable parts of veterinary medicine for me are working with our team to educate people about how best to care for their pets’ health needs, doing surgery, and seeing happy pets, especially when I know we’ve done our part to keep or make them happy and healthy.

My favorite free time activities over the years have been acting, stand-up comedy, singing, and improv. I also enjoy spending time with my family, reading, and container gardening.

Practice Manager, Certified Veterinary Technician

I graduated from the Medical Institute of Minnesota in 1999 and for the past 20 years, I have had the pleasure of going to work every day doing something that excites me! As a Practice Manager and Certified Veterinary Technician, I get to help encourage the human/animal bond to grow in my communities! Every day I learn something new and get to be an advocate for those who cannot speak for themselves. What they give back in return is more love and admiration then I deserve.

In my free time, I enjoy teaching others about animals through volunteer programs and local events that my clinics sponsor yearly. I am the proud mom of 4 cats, Jackson, Alaska, Montana, and California (Cali) who enjoy sleeping, eating, and making me laugh. Along with 1 dog, Zeke, who enjoys playing with my 1 human daughter, Sara, who enjoys Waconia Show Choir and Theater.

Lead Customer Service Representative

I have been with Countryside for nearly two years as the Lead Customer Service Representative. In my life before joining Countryside, I was a Store Manager for 12 years at several large pet supply companies. I have been in the animal business for 17 years because of my love for pets of all kinds.

My life at home is busy with four daughters, Isabelle, Amelia, Ellie, and Penelope, and my 3 year old Boxer mix, Willow, whom I adopted from Countryside in early 2019. Willow blended in with my daughters seamlessly, and is now like my fifth child. We spend our time outside, enjoying the weather while we can.

My goal as the Lead Customer Service Representative is to make you and your pets time here at Countryside as smooth and pleasant as possible, from greeting you when checking in, to taking care of your needs at check out. I am always here to answer any questions you may have! I’ve loved getting to know all of our clients and their pets.

Customer Service Representative

I am from England. I worked there as a Legal Secretary and Personal Assistant in a Law Office. My husband and I moved to the US in 1998. For many years I volunteered at the Waconia Food Shelf, at a school and in recent years assisting in various areas for Waconia Show Choir.

I have two sons and two cats. My cats, Cookie and Stiggy, love to lay in any sun spot or in front of the fireplace.

My goal, as a customer service representative, is to help assist you in any way I can. I look forward to getting to know you and your best friend.

I graduated from Ridgewater college in 2012 and began a career that I am passionate about. As a certified veterinary technician, I get to advocate for patients that can’t speak for themselves and every patient leaves a mark on my heart. I learn new things every day and enjoy watching our patients and their families grow over the years.

In my spare time in enjoy scuba diving, paddle boarding, and watching movies with my son Nathan.

I compete with my dogs in various sports, the main event I do is confirmation with AKC!  Also in my free time, I enjoy competing with my horse in battle racing.
